Arthur Court

American, 1928 - 2015

Arthur Court is an American designer and metalworker who is known for his work in aluminum tableware and home decor. He was born in 1939 in Minnesota, and grew up in California.

Court began his career in the late 1960s, and his early designs were influenced by the organic forms of the Art Nouveau movement. He later developed his own style, which blended traditional and modern design elements with a focus on functionality and durability.

Court's most famous designs include his signature "Grapevine" pattern, which features intricately detailed grape leaves and vines, as well as his animal-themed pieces, such as his elephant and monkey designs.

In addition to his tableware and home decor designs, Court has also created custom pieces for hotels, restaurants, and other hospitality industry clients.

Court's work has been recognized with numerous awards, including induction into the California Home Furnishings Hall of Fame in 2013. His designs continue to be popular and are sold in stores and online retailers around the world.
