David Donovan Jensen

David Donovan Jensen was born in Eau Claire, WI in 1979. Jensen is an artist who works in an array of media including painting, installation, photography and video art.
Jensen’s unique approach to painting acts as a documentation of the areas where the works are created. Beyond using his work as a recording of the artist’s presence within a studio space, Jensen focuses on color as a subject in his paintings.
Jensen has exhibited in exhibitions in Minneapolis, MN, at the New York Design Center, and Southampton, NY and is represented by Bicycle Fine Art in New York City. He has also been featured in Rolling Stone, The Onion, A.V. Club, Mtv Buzzworthy Blog, Pitchfork, Time Magazine, Billboard.com, Gq.com, and Nylon Magazine.
