Ejvind A. Johansson

Ejvind A. Johansson (1915-1995) was a Danish furniture designer who played an important role in shaping the mid-century modern design movement in Denmark. He trained as a cabinetmaker before studying at the School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen.
 
Johansson's work was characterized by his use of high-quality materials, attention to detail, and commitment to functionalism. He created a number of iconic furniture designs, including the "Johansson Chair," which features a sculptural wooden frame and a simple, upholstered seat, and the "Radius" dining table, which features a unique, curved base and a simple, clean-lined tabletop.
 
Johansson was known for his innovative use of materials, particularly wood, which he used to create bold, graphic patterns in his furniture designs. He was also known for his commitment to sustainability and his use of environmentally-friendly materials and production methods.
 
Today, Johansson's furniture designs are highly sought after by collectors and design enthusiasts around the world, and his pieces can be found in museums and private collections.
