John F. Flanagan
American, 1865 - 1952
John Flanagan was a student of Jean-Alexandre-Joseph Falguiere at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and worked in the studio of Augustus Saint Gaudens. He went on to have a distinguished career as a relief medalist, most notably of the United States 25 cent piece which is still in circulation.
