Patrick Pepin

Canadian, 1976
Crafting controlled disorder into a symphony of colors, Patrick Pépin captivates viewers with his intensely charged works, where the density creates a captivating mosaic. A relentless globetrotter, Pépin transforms inspiration from his travels into a significant portion of his raw material.

Beyond mere fascination with his technique lies the essence of Pépin's art—a manifestation of the duality between the physical and intuitive work of matter and the abstraction of more conceptual ideas. His creations delve into contemporary themes, addressing issues like social division and the environment. For Pépin, the objective is to craft meaningful and authentic material that resonates with depth.

Hailing from Lac-Mégantic, Patrick Pépin is a self-taught artist whose artistic footprint extends to prominent galleries such as Galeries Beauchamp, the Whistler Contemporary Gallery in British Columbia, and the Conrad West Gallery in Las Vegas. His works grace private collections across Canada, the United States, Europe, and Asia, with a permanent display at the Metro Toronto Convention Center and inclusion in the private collection of the Musée d’art contemporain de Baie-Saint-Paul.
