Bordeaux-born Vincent Poujardieu trained at the Bordeaux Art College (Ecole des Beaux Arts de Bordeaux). His free spirit and uncompromising nature led him to become a state-of-the-art designer. Little by little he started marrying cutting-edge technology with his personal designing skills. From this alliance, wonderful lines and shapes emerged coupled with a never-ending questioning of the meaning of objects and challenge to the laws of balance. His designs, enhanced by the materials used, give an impression of unlimited force through their strength and sensuousness. Vincent Poujardieu runs the Poujardieu agency and devotes himself to research, development and project-building for furniture, objects, products and single-edition pieces. He works hand-in-hand with eminent French partners from the world of industry and technology, in conjunction with individual craftsmen too, and they are all, like him, fired with the spirit of innovation. Vincent Poujardieu’s designs are highly unusual and are exhibited internationally on the edited design circuit and in galleries. His pieces can be publicly or privately commissioned. His creations are exhibited at shows and events both in France and abroad and appear in numerous publications.
