Description
1 Volume. Washington Irving, Rip Van Winkle. First Edition. Bound in full green morocco with the cover displaying a gilt-tooled border and the original publisher's cloth cover affixed to the front depicting a gilt-tooled depiction of a character. The spines display raised bands, bordering, floral panel details, and label lettering, all gilt-tooled. Complete with a frontispiece and 50 mounter color plates illustrated by Arthur Rackham. All plates are protected by a tissue cover with a printed caption. All of the edges are dyed green with marbled endpapers. Published by William Heinemann in London, 1905.
