Scots in the Sinai. Margaret Agate kept a diary of her journey in Egypt between Autumn 1901 and Spring 1902. She made an excursion on the Nile and visited Khartoum before travelling to Damascus via Mount Sinai. She finished her travels by visiting Smyrna and Athens.
First edition. 8vo, [ii], 245 pp., photographic frontispiece by Capt. Adlercron, 87 half-tone plates after photographs by William Agate, printed on thick uncut paper, contemporary (original?) green roan-backed cloth boards gilt,spine faded to olive, a very good copy.
