8vo (183 x 130 mm); Frontispiece and a further 44 black & white illustrations by Walter Paget, with a reproduction of the map featured in the first edition; contemporary prize binding of half maroon calf over pebble cloth, spine gilt, black lettering-piece (with small scuff eliminating the L of Island), marbled endpapers and matching edges, contemporary ink prize inscription on front free endpaper, dated 'Xmas 1907', overall very good and internally fine.
