Description A mantle clock in the Louis XVI taste by Raingo Freres, Paris

Constructed in gilt bronze, and dressed with Bleu Celeste framed porcelain panels, decorated in polychromes, in the 'Sevres' manner, with swags, foliates and putti; rising from toupie feet, the bow ended plaque inset breakfront plinth base has two gilt putti with musical instruments over, flanking a spandrel flanked case, supporting a circular white enamel dial. The hours marked with Roman numerals, the arched surmount with flambeaux type finials, swags, with a portrait medallion atop. The twin train 8 day movement, with the hours striking on a bell is signed 'Raingo Freres'.
