Hand-blown glass vases from the “Murrine Incatenate” series, model 14283, with multicolor murrhines and zanfirico designed by Anzolo Fuga for Arte Vetraria Muranese (A.V.E.M.), Murano Italy, c.1959.

Literature: Anzolo Fuga: Murano Glass Artist, Designs for A.V.E.M. by Rosa Barovier-Mentasti, Acanthus Press, this set of vases is illustrated on page 129.

AVEM, Arte Vetraria Muranese, Artistic Production 1932-72 by Marc Heiremans and published by Arnolsche in 2020, There is a photo of this model with the original drawing showing the model number on page 112.

Provenance: Evan Lobel purchased these pieces directly from A.V.E.M. in 2001 as part of a large collection of pieces stored there from the 1940’s, 1950’s and 60’s.
