    Willy Zügel was the son of Germany's most highly regarded Impressionist animalier painters, Baron Heinrich Johann von Zügel (1850 - 1941) one of the founding members of the Munich Secession. He instilled in his son the great love of nature's beauty and a keen observant eye, as this model clearly shows.
