Description A pair of George III style giltwood oval mirrors, the classical urn finial resting on a delicate frame draped with rosette husk garlands, the oval mirror plate flanked by flanked by right and left facing Roman sphinxes resting on a base, after a design by Robert and James Adam.

The incorporation of arabseque vine scrolls, sphinx, urns and honeysuckle are without a doubt the decorative Classical Roman vocabulary of Robert and James Adam. Our mirrors are based off of a design for Kenwood House, London. This model has been reinterpreted by many prestigious designers in the late 19th and early 20th century, including E.F Caldwell.
