Description
A late Victorian cane with a smiling dog’s head top, formed from sections of organic material, perhaps a palmwood, threaded onto an iron rod and then carved to a wrythen, tapering form; the horn handle carved into a dog’s head with metal eyes and a red-painted smile. European, circa 1890.
