Description A Pair of Louis XVI Candelabra
Late 18th Century
An extraordinary pair of the finest quality candelabra, crisply detailed, and with lovely gilding of a restrained yet sumptuous color. Each with a patinated bronze putto triton seated on a sleigh playing a triangle, supporting a gilt bronze foliate standard surmounted with a pagoda finial, with three scroll paterae arms ending with urn form candleholders and linked with chains, on a circular white marble column plinth hung with swags, above a square base.
