A-Sun Wu, born in 1942 in Taiwan, is an internationally renowned Taiwanese artist. Bachelor of Fine Arts, National Normal University, Taipei, 1968. Studies at the San Fernando Academy of Madrid, from 1971-1973, graduating from a master degree in visual arts. At the same time painter and sculptor, it is one of the most eminent specialist of the first arts. He creates works especially in the spirit of Dogon and Hopi masks.
Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters in 1998 in France. This is the third person of Chinese origin who had the honour of receiving this award after CHU Teh-chun and Zao wou ki.
