Description A powerful Japanese Meiji Period (1868-1912) bronze okimono of the first Emperor Jimmu.
On a carved wood base.

Emperor Jimmu was the legendary first emperor of Japan, he was a descendant of the sun goddess Amaterasu, and ascended in 660BC, his accention is marked as National Foundation Day on the 11th February.
