-
Description
Another exclusive contemporary sculpture from Austrian wood artist Markus Treml. This unusual, contemporary sculpture resulted after M. Treml visited an old friend in his last days, unfortunately already mentally confused. This very emotional last visit created this exceptional abstract sculpture which should depict the so-called "knot" in a brain - that is what the artist felt and saw in his mind´s eye in this very powerful moment. Artfully handcarved out of old Linden wood, the whole sculpture has been plated with fine silver. The extraordinary looking surface pattern has been created by fine naturally occuring cracks in the wood which caused oxidation. A truly one of a kind modern sculpture which very exciting , depending on the viewing angle. This masterpiece of contemporary art comes on a round white wooden base.
