Description This unusual ceramic vase blends the popular French Art Nouveau taste for natural forms and Japanese influenced glazes with Alfred Renoleau's training in the hyper-realistic animal forms of Palissyware. Lustrous silvery blue-gray glazed clay drips down from the top of the vase, marked by highlights of bright blue and green; a pair of snails in the same lustrous glaze stand out against the the lower half of the vase in a variegated deep red and purple glaze.
