Description A sculpted repousse-like spherical pottery flower vase in the spirit of the American Arts & Crafts Movement. Flora, fauna, water and sky; with slight deviation from perfect spherical form. This vase is likely a singular creation of the late Schoharie County, New York potter "Mattice". Indeterminate as to whether made by husband or wife; it is thought to have been thrown in the period immediately following World War II. Unsigned, it remained in the Mattice personal collection until 2004.
