Description A highly decorative Japanese Tanto with silver mounts, a gold lacquer sheath and handle inlaid with fine Shibiyama style decoration depicting an entertainer, birds and tree in bloom to the sheath and vases of flowers to the handle. The blade is engraved with a dragon and artists' signature. Tanto's are a short sword or straight-bladed knife owned by the Samurai classes of Feudal Japan.
