Antique Bulldog Brush Holder
-
Description
Antique carving of a British bulldog in the form of a brush holder, probably made of linden wood. The dog is standing on its front legs, has amber colored glass eyes and a fierce countenance. There is an opening in the back that holds a brush and another opening behind the front legs to hold another brush, which is not original. There is a hook at the back to hang on the wall or it can easily be placed flat on a table or chest. The patina and color are outstanding.
