Art Deco Stand, Silver-Plated and Blackened Wood, France/Paris, circa 1930
-
Description
Very elegant, quadratic Art Deco Pedestal with silver-plated flower tendrills.
Underneath, the wood is walnut, which has been lacquered and polished in a (Polyurethane) high-gloss black, making it appear very precious.
At the bottom, there are ornaments on three sides, while one side is only black and one side has a higher flower tendrill.
The column is very stable and weights about 6 kg, so that it can be used as a pedestal to a heavier bust. As it is very beautiful in color tone, surface, ornaments and shape, it could also be used as a sculpture on its own.
Length and width:
21 cm/83" x 21 cm/8.3" at the top
30 cm/11.8" x 30 cm/11.8" at the bottom. - More Information
