Beautiful Pair of French Bronze-Mounted Sevres Porcelain Vases and Covers, circa 1880 Of baluster shape with ormolu bronze mounts, cobalt blue covers with raised gold throughout the necks and socles. The bodies very finely hand-painted with classical scenes, one depicting Diana, the other Venus, both painted within clouds and attended by putti, the reverse of each painted with putti among clouds. signed 'C. Rochelle' 26" high x 9" wide x 6" deep Overall excellent condition with slight crazing throughout the glaze; one lid with minor flake on underside of rim, not visible when seated. No cracks, or repairs. Ready to place.
