Description
Exceptional 74cm high ceramic by Céline Lepage (1882-1928) titled "Femme voilée de Marrakech" ("Veiled woman from Marrakech"). White crackled glaze, standing on a blue base.
Intaglio (concave) monogram on the base : CL.
Art Déco, France, circa 1920-1925.
Céline Lepage was a leading sculptress of the Art Déco period and part of the orientalist school.
