Description Regency Chamberlain Worcester Hexagonal Porcelain Imari Large Vase,
Finger & Thumb Design,
Circa 1800-20.

The large Chamberlain's Worcester porcelain covered vase or jar & cover has a hexagonal-shape and is fully covered with a Japan pattern known as "Finger & Thumb".

The vase is painted with green leaves and iron-red flowerheads with towards the base, bands of mazarine blue diaper in the form of fingers. To the center of the front and back is a central large flower with blue leaves. To each side is a gilded dolphin mouth forming the handles. The cover is similarly painted and is surmounted with a large hexagonal flower bud finial painted with a blue ground and gold diaper.

Dimensions: 27 1/2 inches high x 13 1/2 inches wide x 10 inches deep.
