Description
Chinese Export porcelain blue and white crackleware vase and cover decorated with birds, butterflies, peonies, chrysanthemums and foliage, the body having mat brown embossed collar and base, with a foo dog finial. A brown date mark to the bottom.
The off-white surface is covered in fine decorative crackles. This technique originated in 13th century China and triggered interest among collectors of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. -
