An elegant modernist pair of brass and wrought iron andirons, fire tools and rack designed by Donald Deskey for Bennett.
Signed "Bennett"

Mr. Deskey was one of American most important industrial designer of the 20th Century. In 1930 he won the competition to design the interior of the Radio City Music Hall, he also designed small decorative object for the shop of Rena Rosenthal. He went on to design lighting furniture through the 1950. Among his clients he designed interiors for Mrs. John D.Rockefeller, Jr., the Adam Gimbel apartment in 1929, the dining room of Abby Rockefeller Milton in 1933.
This pair as all original signed Bennell with the important flaim stamp. -
