Description
Elisabeth Lemaigre-Voreaux, wall sculpture in ceramic and sand, France, March 1976.
"Downstream of fortuitous or chosen sediments, such as reconstituted papers, fabrics of light, punctuation patterns, paintings with reflections, confidant plaster, the visual artist Elisabeth Lemaigre-Voreaux dispenses a harmony of fragments.
An applied arrival of flashes. By a precise and precious installation, even a delicate re-enactment, the artist installs snippets of life, exploded strata, micro-atmospheres.
From the small format suspended in air, to the larger work, the echoes of time rise to the eyes like rejuvenated parcels. This construction work responds to a diversion of materials, the taming of colours favoring seductive appearances.
This work sewn of memories, of incandescent shreds, expresses, beyond the prettiness of the tones, certain excavation of experience." André Duprat
