English Georgian Antique Pear Fruitwood Tea Caddy,
Late 18th Century
The antique fruitwood tea caddy is in the form of a pear with a carved stalk in the center of the cover. It was lathe-turned and is in two parts, hinged at the back. It now has a lovely soft honey patina. The escutcheon and hinge are steel.
Dimensions: 6 inches high x 4 1/2 inches wide; (15.24cm x 11.43cm)
