Description Vase model Yantra 31 designed at the end of '60s by Ettore Sottsass for Poltrona, in red glazed ceramic.
In Domus no. 489 of August 1970, Ettore Sottsass himself tells about his experience with ceramic, he says: "I started designing ceramics in 1965 because an american called Irving asked me to". After failing and experiencing, finally thanks to a journey through India, with the friend and colleague Nanda Vigo, in 1961, once back at home, Sottsass had a good inspiration for his project with ceramics. From here Yantra collection; in the same article in Domus, Sottsass says: "Mantra gives formula and a question, Yantra, diagman and pattern."
