Description
French Art Nouveau bronze jug vase Jeanne Jozon (1868-1946) depicting Breton woman’s face surround of thistles and thistle handle. Finished in dark green patina with shades of brown red and purple. Signed ‘J Jozon Salon des Beaux Arts’and ‘Bronze Garanti au Titre, L.V. Deposee’, number 1612. First exhibited at the Salon of the Societe Nationale des Beaux-Arts 1898. Ref: Art Nouveau, The French Aesthetic by Victor Arwas p222. Measures: 23 x 16 x 13 cm. Excellent condition.
