Antique French Bronze Fireplace Screen 19th Century
-
Description
Gorgeous French fireplace screen from the 1800s.
The fireplace screen has a beautiful semi-circular reticulated shape, reminiscent of the tail of the peacock, and at its edge we find another eight decorative semicircles that have the function of further protection from the fire. A pivot positioned at the top to facilitate its movement.
The supporting structure rests on a pedestal that acts as a base and support even when closing the fireplace screen. Good patina.
The fireplace screen is made entirely of French bronze and has a rich and luxurious style typical of the Baroque. -
