A futurist styled trophy sculpture from around 1920. The trophy consists of a woman representing the Goddess of Victory standing on a streamlined race car. Sculpted from hand hammered bronze and nickel plated. Mounted on a wooden two part base. The plaques that would have had the name of the winner and sponsor of the event have been removed, possibly because politically incorrect. An impressive and very decorative sculpture. We are researching the style of the work & hope to be able to identify the artist.
