Description Nice and curious desk magnifier in brushed silver metal depicting a fish by Hermès Paris. The fins of the tail being curved to act as a handle. The main body is in silvered brushed steel, a magnifying lens represents the giant fish eye, it is surrounded by polished metal. The magnifying glass is signed Hermès, in very good condition with its original presentation case. Hermès began his collection of objects for the house in 1924, in the midst of the Art Deco period, Jean-Michel Frank created stripped-down furniture and furnished a refined elite (Dali, Elsa Schiaparelli, billionaire Rockefeller, etc.). Architect and decorator, Paul Dupré-Lafon used the home for the first time to cover his furniture in leather, a real collaboration was born in 1940 with a collection of very refined objects for the office and the home. Rena Dumas has marked the history of the house and instilled in it his taste for sobriety.
