Description These beautiful scent flasks were a must-have on the dressing tables of fashionable ladies throughout Europe in the mid-nineteenth century. The bottles are modeled as figures of an East Asian couple and are made of multi-colored painted and gold leaf hard-paste porcelain. The heads serve as stoppers. While the marks on the bottom are both printed and incised, they are indistinct. Despite that, these bear all the hallmarks of the work of Jacob Petit, whose factories were a major producer of the finest perfume bottles in the 1830's and 40's.
