Description Zeus hardly requires any introduction. He is one of the most popular figures in Greek mythology. At one time he was bound with the hundred-knotted cord but soon after he was freed. This figure shows him with the untied rope. (Zeus - Wikipedia)

The sculpture is made in a typical style of abstract welded art of the 1950s. It is considered a piece by the “old masters” of abstract welded figural sculptures ie.David Smith, Harry Bertoia, etc.

Beautiful tile work adds a dramatic effect to this piece of art. The body is adorned with Micro mosaic.
There is a monogram on one corner of the base.(photo)

The sculpture has a rusty patina and mounted on a marble plinth. It is in very good condition.
