Description | An attractive and whimsical orange, grey and gold leaf crackle glazed jar and cover, of fine quality with beautiful gilding. Designed by Thorkild Olsen. Olsen. (Danish painter and ceramicist.) He created the Celadon style for Royal Copenhagen. He is represented in the Royal Copenhagen Museum, the Museum of Decorative Arts, the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Marked to cover and base: -212 (over) 2416 Monogram aar. |
