Salvador Dominguez was born in Zacatecas, Mexico. Raised in Los Angeles Sal has continued as an artist to explore through various mediums the narrative of a first generation immigrant within the contemporary American culture. Various materials evoke memories of childhood and markers of materials and imagery arranged in unity and overlaid with blue collar practices. Objects become relics, referencing trade and craft. Materials are basic as is identity.

Pavilion is the collective vision of Deborah Colman and Neil Kraus, both graduates of the master of fine arts program at the Art Institute of Chicago. From a longstanding interest in art and design, frequent buying trips to France and Italy have influenced the direction of the gallery to offer items that are not easily sourced in Chicago and United States.
