Description Staffordshire Pottery pearlware figure with a classical theme which features Neptune holding trident (detachable) with a dolphin, stood on a square pedestal base. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Open bottomed. Impressed 'NEPTUNE' to reverse and Maker's marks 'O', to underside.

Description details - KILN EFFECTS: glaze accumulation to the base; glaze pops to glaze under dolphin's mouth; shallow firing crack to top of thigh. RESTORATION. Neptune is reglued and joins retouched, through the ankles and dolphin's tail.
