Description | “In the process of developing these objects I try to eliminate anything unnecessary. I look for a type of balance and tension in form, one that is expressed with a single gesture.” Yulia Tsukerman began her artistic career as a photographer, hunting for spontaneous moments of perfection in the streets of Moscow, where she is from originally. She turned to ceramics when she realized she could create perfect moments. She is inspired by Giorgio Morandi, and sculptors such as Noguchi and Brancusi. Her Vanitas objects have a Classical purity of form and balance in proportion that we find aesthetically quite satisfying. Price is for a trio of small, medium and large. |
