Description This is a Museum Quality tapestry. This late 17th century Franco-Flemish verdure tapestry, signed RAET, worked in fresh colors, depicting animals in a wooded river landscape with a bird of prey attacking a rabbit in the foreground, within borders with classical figures holding baskets of fruits with architectural niches, fruited garlands, and woodland scenes.

This is an excellent example of a late 17th century Franco-Flemish Verdure Tapestry. It exhibits incredible period details, contains its original border and is in excellent condition given its age. It measures 12.8 x 14.8 ft.

Christie's East, New York, in 1987 from the Estate of Arndt Krupp Von Bohlen Und Halbach.
