Folk art hand shirred rug in wonderful colors on a black mottled background. Wool on linen. American, New England circa 1835-50. The colors are perfect and the beautiful mottled black background creating an almost like Mondrian effect. In excellent condition attached to the original professional mount on which it was found.
This item is being in as found condition.
