A huge circular Op Art wool woven wall sculpture panel, 1970s
During the 1960s Op Art or Optical Illusion Art burst onto the scene drawing on colour theory and the physiology and psychology of perception. The effects created by op art ranged from subtle to disorientating. This woven wall scultpture can eithe be a wall panel as pictured or as a floor rug. The optical illusion the rug gives whilst on the wall makes it appear 3D coming out of the wall.
