Description
Vintage Afghan kilim rug, circa late 1940s. Flat-weave kilim is 100% wool and fully hand-woven with geometric patterns that cannot be quite characterized as tribal. There is no back so essentially it looks good on either side. What makes it unusual however is the lack of red. Instead, it's all earth tones and neutrals - very unique for the time and region.
