Hand-knotted in the Moroccan Atlas Mountains circa 1960, this vintage wool rug is characterised by a repeating lattice pattern in warm shades of brown and ivory. Delicate accents of red, ochre, turquoise and purple punctuate the composition, while the low-pile surface and hand-spun wool create subtle tonal variation and tactile depth. Slight irregularities in the form and weave are inherent to its handcrafted construction and contribute to the individuality of the piece.
