A vintage, European inspired, Persian Kashan carpet from the mid-20th century. This ivory semi-open ground Persian rug with a wheel-like central medallion and a scattering of Rococo floral sprays is a perfect mate to French Louis furniture or any European traditional interior. The Greek key outer border is neo-classic and the field is cartouche shaped. This mid-century rug is perfect for a living room or drawing room. At first glance, one may assume this is a European carpet, such as a French Savonnerie, but it is, in fact, a Persian Kashan creation that was heavily inspired by European design.
