Provenance: Private collection, France

The episode shown here is Zephyr bringing the two sisters of Psyché to the palace of Psyché and Cupid-Eros.

Cupid-Eros and Psyché are living happily and in secret, but one day, Psyché requested to meet her sisters. Cupid-Eros was worried of the sisters who seem to be jealous women, but he still agreed, and sent the God of wind, Zephyr to bring them to the palace. Psyché showed them her world, her palace and her wealth. However, the two curious sisters tried to find out more about her husband’s identity. Psyché then confessed that she had never seen him as he refuses to reveal his face. The two sisters sowed doubt among Psyché.

The episode shown here is rare. In the background, the palace is represented where we guess a feast that Psyché is enjoying.
