An exceptional Japanese silk wedding ceremonial kimono Uchikake, circa 1930s in the oriental Art Deco fashion. Cream white subtly patterned silk background with elaborate and intricate embroidery in orange, red and gold threads that depict auspicious symbols. Wood carts with gold spoke wheels and pulls are loaded with peonies, chrysanthemum, maple and pine branches and wisteria flowers. They form the main motif across the front and back. Prunus and bamboo branches are also scattered around. Padded red interior with cotton weighted down trim and larger than life size for ceremonial use only.
