The bridal garment of a cream white silk features elaborate and intricate embroidery of motifs of highly decorated fans surrounded by red ribbons and tassels. The stylized forms of the subject matters and the repetitive pattern exhibits a strong Japonsime Art Deco aesthetic . The padded red interior ends with cotton weighted bottom trim. The outer garment is larger than life-size and meant for ceremonial use only. It was labeled "John Wanamaker" Made in Japan. It was sold via the famed department store in prewar time.
